Food Safety Consultant (ISO 22000 / HACCP)

Role Overview

UPLYFT360° Vietnam is looking for a skilled Food Safety Consultant to support Vietnamese food and beverage businesses in achieving internationally recognized food safety certifications. Vietnam's food export sector — spanning seafood, coffee, rice, processed foods, and beverages — requires increasingly rigorous food safety credentials for market access in Europe, the USA, Japan, and the Middle East. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct, meaningful contribution to Vietnam's food export competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct HACCP hazard analyses and develop HACCP plans for food production clients
• Design and implement ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS)
• Develop Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) programs including Prerequisite Programs (PRPs)
• Create FSMS documentation including food safety policies, monitoring procedures, and corrective action records
• Deliver food safety training to production staff, supervisors, and management teams
• Conduct internal audits of food safety management systems
• Support clients during third-party certification audits (ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP)
• Advise on HALAL certification requirements for export-focused clients
• Provide regulatory compliance advice for MOH and MARD requirements
• Stay current with global food safety standards and regulatory developments

Requirements

• 1 Minimum 3 years of food safety consulting or food industry quality management experience
• 2 ISO 22000 Lead Auditor certification (preferred) or Lead Implementer certification
• 3 Solid practical knowledge of HACCP principles and their application in food production
• 4 Understanding of GMP requirements for food manufacturing
• 5 Fluent Vietnamese and working proficiency in English
• 6 Excellent communication skills — ability to deliver training to diverse audiences
• 7 Willingness to work on-site at food production facilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in seafood, dairy, processed food, or beverage sectors
• HALAL certification knowledge
• Knowledge of EU food safety regulations and US FDA requirements
• Experience with food safety incident management and product recall procedures
